The Challenge was to create a shared experience between flooring manufactures and the A&D community through the design process. Manufactures Antron and Tandus Centiva wanted to raise awareness and invite Architects and Designer’s to participate in helping at-risk kids in NYC through Publicolor.
Publicolor is a program designed to teach core education concepts through the hands-on process of design. Instead of creating a typical corporate video chock full of impersonal statistics and talking heads we set out to create our first ever sub-pop film.
The intention with our first feature length sub-pop film was to create a relatable perspective around Buddhism for western cultures that typically view it as one-dimension. Our focus is on the dying practice or Sky Burials. A seemingly brutal practice on the surface, reveals a greater sense of inherent human compassion and shared philosophies around the universal uncertainties of why we are here and what happens when we die. Presenting this shared experience with different cultures draws us closer and creates greater tolerance and understanding of our global neighbors.
